Except for one small thing.

I had my birthday dinner last night and was amazed to see that all of my family that live nearby came out to spend the night with me. A pretty good size of friends came out too. I felt loved and supported and everyone around was laughing and having a good time. But someone was missing. It’s a hard thing losing a best friend. Especially when it’s your own goddamn fault she’s not sitting in that chair right next to you. I thought about her a lot last night and wished she was there with me. I ended up home in bed by ten last night, the night just didn’t feel right. The only one to catch on was Drew. He didn’t know exactly what I was feeling but he kept asking me what was going on. I woke up this morning to a message from her saying she missed me and she had sent me a friend request. I hope this is a good thing. I hope we can work towards being friends again. If she could ever forgive me…
